About the Event
The MLK Unity Impact Event celebrates National Mentorship Month with a week of community-driven programs leading up to the MLK Unity Parade on Monday, January 19, 2026.
During Unity Impact Week, local schools and community sites will host interactive sessions in Career Exploration, Arts, Financial Education, Esteem, and Empowerment, bringing mentorship to the forefront for Houston and surrounding areas.
Purpose
To inspire and mobilize high school alumni to return to their alma maters as career mentors, helping students explore pathways in college, trades, entrepreneurship, and community leadership — while strengthening school pride and intergenerational connection.
