Historic Unification Announced: 2026 MLK Unity Parade

After more than 30 years of hosting separate Martin Luther King Jr. Day parades, the two leading Houston MLK parade organizations are coming together in unity to produce the 2026 MLK Unity Parade, in collaboration with the City of Houston.
This momentous decision is a powerful symbol of reconciliation, solidarity, and shared purpose, not only for Houston but for the national community of parade participants and supporters who travel to the city each year.
The 2026 event will be held under the banner of “Embracing the Oneness in Humanity”, reflecting Dr. King’s vision of unity, justice, and collective progress.
