Rushion McDonald

Rushion McDonald is a modern-day Renaissance Man with many accolades to his name. He is a two-time Emmy Award-winning (Daytime) Executive Producer, three-time NAACP Image award winner, has been inducted into the Personal Managers Hall of Fame, is a recipient of The Living Legends Entrepreneur Award, a recipient of a GOLD Reggie Award for local and regional marketing excellence for an Air National Guard marketing campaign (2020), a recipient of the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award (2016) and in 2022 a recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.

In 1990 Rushion McDonald arrived in Hollywood and became a successful sitcom writer for shows like “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “The Parkers,” and “Sister, Sister.” He built the Steve Harvey media empire and was Steve’s business manager from 2000-2016. Rushion co-created, and Executive Produced the nationally syndicated “Steve Harvey Morning Show”; co-created and launched “The Steve Harvey Talk Show” in 2012, and negotiated three #1, New York Times bestsellers for HarperCollins Publishers. He was also a Consulting Producer on the rebooted and highly rated, syndicated game show “Family Feud.”

 

In 2014, Rushion McDonald founded 3815 Media, Inc, a full-service marketing and media production company. Services include branding strategies, military recruitment campaigns, virtual and live event production, graphic design, social media management and marketing, website design, video and audio production, media buying, and talent management. 3815 Media Inc oversees the marketing and branding of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and produces HBCU College Day events on HBCU campuses to recruit and encourage high school students to attend HBCUs. Every Tuesday, Rushion hosts Money Making Conversations Master Class from 6-7 PM ET on WCLK, live on the campus of Clark Atlanta University. The show is also syndicated on HBCU campuses throughout the country. Rushion interviews celebrities, CEOs, entrepreneurs, and influencers on their secrets to success and he encourages listeners to “lead with your gifts and never use age as an excuse when planning your dreams.”

 

3815 Media, Inc manages Jeff Jenkins, who stars in Nat Geo’s new series “Never Say Never with Jeff Jenkins”, and Executive Chef Liz Rogers who founded Creamalicious, the #1 African American distributor of ice cream in the world. Rushion McDonald is also the business manager of ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith’s and is an executive producer on all his projects.
