Harold Malveaux

29th Annual MLK Grande Parade Honoree


Harold Malveaux is the Co-Owner of the Maison De Veaux event venue in Pearland, Texas.


The firstborn of eight sons, Harold was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. His parents moved to Houston in January 1955, where Harold attended schools in the Houston Independent School District.

Harold developed an interest in real estate and the renovation of old houses in the mid-1980s. He became proficient in all facets of home improvements. As his technical skills and business acumen evolved, Harold acquired properties and completed most of the improvement projects himself, foregoing exorbitant contract labor costs. Harold and his family have acquired numerous investment properties, one of which being the home his mother raised her eight sons.

Harold's technical aptitude and knowledge in electronic and electromechanical devices landed him a position as a technician in the 80s at the Texas Medical Center. In February 1989, Harold officially began his career with Texas Medical Center as a Technician. Harold ascended the ladder of success, by focusing on safety, quality, and customer service, with the management style of leading by example. His successes in various levels of management positions at Texas Medical Center would propel Harold to achieve the executive title of “Vice President of Facilities Operations and Engineering”. Harold has also been recognized by the YMCA of Greater Houston and was awarded the Minority Achiever and Minority Super Achiever awards. Harold spent his final years in the workforce at YES Prep Charter Schools as Director of Facilities Operations.

After more than thirty years in the corporate world, Harold retired to pursue some of his dreams. Utilizing the same philosophies and business acumen which allowed him significant success in the corporate world, he has established multiple businesses. These include but are not limited to multiple real estate ventures, Xcess Services Commercial Lawn Care, and the most recent, an event venue “Maison De Veaux “one of Pearland’s best-kept secrets.
