The 22nd Annual MLK Grande Parade Is Scheduled For January 18, 2016 Originating In Houston’s Midtown Beginning Promptly @ 10:00AM (CST).

The Parade’s Theme “It Takes A Village” Will Emphasize A Commitment To Diversity And Inclusion And Will Be Articulated Throughout The Parade Production.

The Grand Marshal For The 22nd Annual MLK Grande Parade-Houston Is Rushion McDonald, Native Houstonian And University Of Houston Alumnus. Rushion McDonald Is Also The Executive Producer Of The Steve Harvey Show, The Family Feud Show, And Has Been Instrumental In Establishing Charities Across The Nation Through His Philanthropic Endeavors.

The 22nd Annual MLK Grande Will Be Co-Lead By The University Of Houston Marching Band And The PVAMU Marching, And Will Represented By More Than 300 Culturally Diverse Performing Groups From Across The U.S. Featuring The Nationally Acclaimed St. Augustine Marching 100-New Orleans, LA And The Award Winning Belaire High School Marching Band-Baton Rouge, LA.

The MLK Events Houston Will Host The 10Th Annual MLK Youth Parade On January 16, 2016 In Houston’s Midtown Originating On San Jacinto Street & Elgin Street beginning @ 12 Noon (CST).

The Parade’s Theme Is “It Takes A Village” . The Grand Marshal for The2016 MLK Youth Parade Is Houston’s Own Actor/Singer “Just Brittany” . Just Brittany Is Engaged Nationwide In Promoting High Self Esteem And Community Awareness To Young Adults In Addition To Her Continued Efforts To Bridge Our Cultural/Ethnic Divides.

The Parade Will Be Composed Of More Than 200 Culturally Diverse Performing Groups From Across The Nation, And Will be Co-Lead By The Stephen F. Austin High School Marching Band-Houston And The Washington-Marion High School Marching Band-Lake Charles, LA.

The Parade Will Have A 1.5 hr Duration Along A 1.5 Mile Parade Route And Promises To Be A Fun-Filled Family Event That’s Worth Seeing.
