Stephanie QuintanillaStephanie Quintanilla currently holds the title of Miss US America 2009. She is a senior at the University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Psychology with an emphasis in Biology. She is a member of the UTSA Pre-Medical Society, Psi Chi Psychology National Honor Society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and has been on the Deans List all 3 years that she has attended UTSA. She plans to go to medical school and become a Psychiatrist with hopes of one day opening up her own private practice and truly make a difference in people’s lives. Stephanie’s platform is “Live a Strong Healthy Life”. Stephanie feels that the younger generation of today needs positive role models and mentors to help encourage them to eat healthy and stay physically active. The obesity and diabetes epidemic is growing everyday among young children and Stephanie feels that spreading the word of healthy nutrition and staying active can lower these sky rocketing numbers.
