Enos Cabell
Houston Astros Special Assistant to the General Manager

Cabell enters his sixth season as special assistant to the general manager in 2010, after being named to the post on November 17, 2004. He had been serving as a consultant since joining the Astros front office on July 29, 2004. Enos assists General Manager Ed Wade and the Astros scouting department in evaluating the Astros Major and minor league players, along with other special projects and assignments within the scouting area.

A 15-year veteran of the Major Leagues, Enos played for the Astros from 1975-80 and 1984-85, including his overall best season in 1977 when he hit .282 (176x625) with 68 RBI, a career-high 36 doubles, and 16 home runs. He was named the team's MVP in 1978 after setting a then-club mark with 195 hits, which ranked third in the National League. He also led the league with 162 games played and 660 at-bats that season. Enos stole over 30 bases every season from 1976-1979. In 1,688 career big league games from 1972-86, he hit .277 (1647x5952) with 60 home runs and 596 RBI.
