2010 ANTSO National Miss

Alexis Gonzalez Alexis Gonzalez is the 2010 ANTSO National Miss, representing the America's National Teenager Scholarship Organization. Prior to winning the national title, Alexis was the 2009 North Carolina ANTSO National Miss. Celebrating its 40th year, America’s National Teenager promotes strong scholastic ideals, solid leadership principles and high character growth in young women. ANTSO has provided Alexis with travel and media opportunities including an appearance on the TLC’s reality show “King of the Crown”, a trip to New York City which included an appearance on the “Today Show” and an upcoming trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Alexis strongly believes that great things happen when you are inspired and works to make a positive difference in the lives of others. She volunteers at various organizations including Habitat for Humanity and the Boys and Girls Club of America. When spending time with the youth at the Boys and Girls Club, Alexis promotes high self-esteem, stresses the importance of education and the benefits of getting involved in school or the community.

Alexis served for two years on the Union County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council in North Carolina as a youth spokesperson. Alexis is a sophomore at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and is equally involved in on-campus organizations. She is majoring in Criminology with a minor in Sociology and is pursuing a Professional Writing Certification. Alexis plans to continue competing in pageants, attend law school and pursue a career in the justice system where she can continue to advocate on the behalf of youth.
