Chuck Throckmorton

Chuck Throckmorton is Director of Bands at Rice University.  He directs the Rice Symphonic Band, The MOB:  Rice University’s Marching Owl Band, The Houston Concert Band – an adult community band, and Music Everywhere:  Chamber Music for non-music majors.  He has founded the Rice Outreach for Music Education, which invites two select school bands each year to rehearse with the Rice Symphonic Band on the Rice campus. 

Mr. Throckmorton holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Iowa and a Master of Arts in Music from Stephen F. Austin State University, where he also held an adjunct faculty position in the School of Music.
